It’s been a bit humid these last few days from the thunderstorms. Nothing a Floridian girl can’t handle. My hair on the other hand is another matter. I forgotten how bushy, poofy, and frizzy it gets in this weather.

Typically, a booklist focused on “read these while you’re whatever age” makes me want to cringe. This one is actually good. (Though I may be biased because it includes both Giovanni’s Room by James Baldwin and His Dark Materials by Philip Pullman. Plus a whole bunch of ladies and people of color.)

Retired to the bedroom, laptop in hand,  with all intentions of completing a paper for my class. That was at 9pm. Its is now 10:41pm and I have not even finished reading the article I’m basing my paper on. WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME?

The indoor market is run by Brass City Harvest and is located at 19 Field Street in Waterbury, open Tuesday-Friday from 9 AM-4 PM. Go check it out! And don’t forget about the market on the downtown green that starts on July 11th.  Saving for later use.
